Job Description: The CNA Receptionist demonstrates clinical competence in the provision of direct patient care and technical assistance to the physicians and will float within the department of Medicine specialty clinics (as requested). Components of the CAN role include taking vital signs, documenting patient care activities, entering data into the electronic medical record, maintaining examination rooms, and confirming that all orders, prescriptions and instructions to patients are complete at the end of each visit. Secondary duties include: patient check-in at the front desk areas of the clinic practice, organizing and stamping patient arrival paperwork, greeting and directing patients, answering and triaging phone calls, scheduling patients in electronic system, verifying insurance eligibility, collecting co-payments, preparing patient charts, obtaining prior test results and office notes for appointment, confirming appointments, requesting interpreters, calling transport ( as needed), filling, copying and providing other general administrative support to physicians and for clinics. The CNA/Receptionist provides excellent customer service. This is a per diem postion only.. Candidate will float to different clinics within the Department of Medicine.
